Nebraska’s 2018 homecoming celebration rolls toward its Memorial Stadium finale with a series of events Sept. 28-29.
The homecoming theme is “Bringing the Tradition Home.” Remaining events are listed below.
Sept. 28
One-hour campus tours leave from the Wick Alumni Center, 1520 R St., at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required; call 1-888-353-1874 to make a reservation.
Student lawn displays will be completed by 10:30 a.m. and judged at noon.
The Nebraska Alumni Association’s Football Friday celebration is 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wick Alumni Center. The event includes appearances by former Husker football players, music, giveaways and children’s games.
The homecoming parade starts at 6 p.m. The route begins at 16th and Vine streets, moves south to R Street and goes west past the Nebraska Union’s south entrance.
A pep rally is 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the Nebraska Union Plaza. The event includes Scarlet Guard’s Homecoming Jester Competition.
Sept. 29
- Huskers vs. Purdue football game, 2:30 p.m., Memorial Stadium. Homecoming royalty will be crowned at halftime.
