Preparation for construction of the Love Library Learning Commons gets underway on the first floor of Love Library North in December. The public entrance to Love Library North closes at 5 p.m. Dec. 19. The construction project will last one year, and the entrance is expected to reopen in January of 2016.
The circulation desk at that entrance will be dismantled, and the vending machines will move to the second floor of Love Library North.
Several options to access the collections in lower level of Love North Lower Level include:
• one elevator in Love North open from 2nd floor to lower level
• a hallway that connects Love Library South 19 (lower level) to Love Library North 22 (lower level)
• Request Delivery service, and Libraries staff can get books with 24-hours advance notice. To make request for delivery, visit https://unl.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html.
The Love Library Learning Commons will be the academic hub of City Campus, fostering a transformative environment for scholarship where students can gather and collaborate, and faculty can incorporate cutting-edge technologies and instruction resources into their curricula. The space will be available 24/7, offer a café, a variety of study spaces and expert help at the ASKus service point.
