New user interface debuts with UNL web upgrade

This week, the new UNLedu 4.0 Framework is rolling out on several services and sites within the UNL website. Launching this week are the sites of University Housing, Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate Studies, as well as the main UNL website, including the external UNL homepage and UNL Today.

As part of this change, a new user interface for UNL’s central authentication service, login.unl.edu, has debuted. The new user interface provides anti-phishing features – upon username completion, the user’s photo from UNL’s private social network, Planet Red, if available, will appear in the interface prior to the user submitting a password.

The service URL that is being logged in to is also displayed, in order to provide the user with additional information about where the login information is being sent.

All UNL sites and services are expected to complete the transition to UNLedu 4.0 by the end of the summer. For more information, see the UNL Web Developer Network site.
