CARE open house is Jan. 26

Temporary CARE office located in Louise Pound Hall until fall 2024.

The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education is hosting an open house to allow the campus community to see its new, temporary location in Louise Pound Hall.

The event is 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 26 in Louise Pound Hall, Suite 211. CARE shifted to the temporary location due to the start of the Neihardt Center renovation. CARE staff expect to assist students from Pound Hall through fall 2024. CARE offers a confidential, supportive resource for victims/survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence, sexual harassment and stalking.

“The Open House is a great opportunity for our campus community to see the space and get to know our team,” said Melissa Wilkerson, director of CARE, said. “We’re excited about the opportunities it will provide CARE as well as the people we serve and support.”

Also newly located in Pound Hall is Student Advocacy and Support in Room 205. Throughout the open house, staff will be on-hand to answer any questions about individualized academic support.
