Nebraska's Margaret Huettl, who recently helped with an update to the classic Oregon Trail video game, will be the featured speaker at the Genealogy Over Lunch event on April 21.
Nebraska’s Margaret Huettl, assistant professor of history and ethnic studies, will be joining Genealogy over Lunch at 11:30 a.m. April 21.
Huettl will talk about the interesting intersection of Ojibwe, Iranian and Italian (plus Midwestern casserole) food cultures in her family. She has also done some work with Indigenous food sovereignty, and how your own food culture can say a lot about your own ancestry.
