Parking and Transit Services provides access to electric vehicle charging stations on University of Nebraska–Lincoln campuses.

On City Campus, four charging stations are located on 14th Street in parking spots west of Howard L. Hawks Hall. On East Campus, two charging stations are available north of the East Campus Union.

The charging stations are powered by a new provider, SynergyEV. The SynergyEV app lets drivers find electric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided and accessibility.

Start charge sessions by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app. During the launch process, use your university email address for a 50% discount on charging fees.

SynergyEV links are available for both Apple and Android. SynergyEV allows users to monitor charge sessions in real time, get phone notifications when the EV charge is complete and make secure payments. Depending on the vehicle and battery level, it can take three to four hours to fully charge a vehicle.

Campus stations are available 24 hours a day for use by the campus community and the general public. The cost for a charge is $1.50 an hour. Once charging is complete, the rate increases to $3 an hour. Vehicles should be moved immediately after the charging process is completed. Vehicles not in a current charging session may be cited for parking in an unauthorized area.
