Michael Barth and Emma Fisher

Theatrix, the student-run theater company at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, will conclude its fall season with “Mary’s Wedding” by Stephen Massicote. Dustin Mosko, a second-year MFA directing student and Theatrix Artistic Director directs.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3, 4, 5 and 2 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Lab Theatre, third floor of the Temple Building.

Tickets are $6 and are available at http://unltheatretickets.com. Tickets will also be sold at the door on a cash-only basis beginning one hour prior to curtain subject to availability.

In the performance, it is the night before Mary Chalmers’ wedding and she takes the audience through her dreams of the past, the future, and those she has left behind. Charlie Edwards enters and Mary falls in love. But it is World War I and changing tides stir nightmares and heartbreak.

“Mary’s Wedding” is a play about “a young woman’s dream about an ideal love and her unending devotion to mend a relationship broken by war,” Mosko said. “It is a beautifully written play that breaks and reconstructs my heart every time I read or hear it.”

The production is designed by Lexi Bass (video), Jack Rodenburg (sound), Sheric Hull (lighting), Haley Williams (costumes) and Mosko (scenic). Kayleigh Kullmann is the stage manager.
