Percussion Ensemble presents a night of ‘Water’ music

UNL Percussion Ensemble

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Percussion Ensemble presents “Water,” a recital of aquatically themed music, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29 in Kimball Recital Hall.

Not only will compositions reflect different states and bodies of water, but performers will also dip instruments into water to create remarkable sounds.

The program includes “Water” by Alejandro Vinao, “Fishbones” by Ondrej Adamek, “Surfacing” by Dave Hall, “The River” by Seth Adams and “Pyriphlegathon” by Christopher Deane.

Tickets are $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens. This performance will be live webcast at http://arts.unl.edu/music/webcasts.
