A team from NET received a Silver in the annual International Cinema in Industry CINDY competitions. The award was conferred in the category “Website in Education: Guidance, Values, Career Information,” in the CINDY Regional (North Central United States) competition.

The award is for NET’s “Career Readiness,” an interactive website with 11 modules to help users improve basic skills for job preparedness. The website is available to the public for use and will be highly promoted in high school classrooms and American Job Centers across the state.

The course was created through collaboration among NET Learning Services, the Nebraska Department of Labor and the Nebraska Department of Education’s Career Education System and Adult Basic Education to use distance-learning technologies to reach instructors and adult and youth participants.
