A training session on how to publish electronic books using free tools an integrating them into classroom instruction is 11 a.m. to noon, Dec. 3 in the Nebraska Union. The free training will be led by Brian Moore, associate professor of music education.
The presentation is part of the iPad Roundtable series organized by Information Technology Services.
Moore, who is also an Apple Distinguished Educator, has written an iPad-based textbook as the sole required text for one of his courses. The ebook includes all the required music listening, homework assignments, self-faced quizzes, readings and lectures required for the course.
Moore said the ebook is multi-media rich and designed to be interactive, engaging and fun for students to use.
Moore’s work in the field of music technology has been recognized nationally. He continues to work in software development, focusing upon music education/composition, mobile devices and teaching.
Moore has been involved with Music In Education as well as instructional software development and has gained national recognition in the field of music technology. His work in software development continues to focus upon music education, composition, and mobile devices and teaching.
The session is free, but registration is required.
