Last day for Combined Campaign pledges is Oct. 30

UNL is again aiming to impact the lives of thousands by participating in the Lincoln-area Combined Campaign for Health and Human Services.

UNL’s Combined Campaign, “Give Today. Change Tomorrow.,” finishes Oct. 30. Faculty and staff must turn in paper pledge forms or enter them online by Oct. 30.

The Combined Campaign is an annual community pledge drive that benefits three federations — Community Health Charities of Nebraska, Community Services Fund and United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County. The three federations represent more than 110 local agencies that assist members of the community.

“The UNL Combined Campaign is an opportunity to demonstrate a solid sense of commitment to our community,” Chancellor Harvey Perlman said. “Your gift is important to send a unified message of support from the entire university to the community as a whole.”

Combined Campaign pledge materials have been delivered to UNL employees the week of Oct. 19. UNL is consistently one of the top fundraisers for the drive.

Juan Franco, vice chancellor for student affairs, is the 2016 UNL Combined Campaign chair.

“We ask each member of the university community to think carefully about the positive change you can make through a gift of any size,” Franco said. “This is our opportunity to show the world that we care about our community.”

To date, UNL employees have contributed more than $6 million to the campaign.
