Fusion energy researcher to lecture at UNL

Matthew L. Reinke of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory will discuss “Making Measurements Above a Million Degrees: Diagnosing Plasmas for Fusion Energy Applications.” The seminar is 3:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Nebraska Hall, Room W213B.

Reinke is a research and development staff scientist for ORNL’s division of fusion and materials for nuclear systems. He is working on the development of diagnostics for the NSTX-U spherical tokamak.

The seminar is free and open to the public.
