Faculty Senate to meet Dec. 1

How every person can play an important role in solutions to local, national and global challenges will be the focus of the first Heuermann series event of the 2015-16 season on Oct. 21.

The UNL Faculty Senate will consider a motion concerning guns on campus and a proposed professional ethics statement in a 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1 meeting in the East Union, Arbor Suite.

Other agenda items include a presentation by Chancellor Harvey Perlman and reports from the Academic Planning Committee, University Conduct Board and Academic Rights and Responsibilities Committee.

Established in 1974, the Faculty Senate is a representative body of members elected by the faculty of UNL’s academic units. The senate is UNL’s governing agency for dealing with issues that impact more than one college. It also acts as the official voice of the faculty at UNL.
