East Campus hosts Arbor Day planting

UNL will celebrate Arbor Day with an 11 a.m. April 23 tree planting on East Campus.

Ronnie Green, Harlan Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at UNL and vice president for agriculture and natural resources for the University of Nebraska, will lead the ceremony. The event will feature a planting of a horse chestnut in Maxwell Arboretum, immediately east of the vine arbor.

The event is free and open to faculty, staff and students. Tree seedlings will be available to the first 25 people.
