'Food Truck for the Physics Mind' to visit university March 23

The "Food Truck for the Physics Mind" is coming to City Campus on March 23.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Department of Physics and Astronomy will host a free public science event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 23 outside Jorgensen Hall, 855 N. 16th St.

The event will feature a visit from the “Food Truck for the Physics Mind,” a mobile demonstration lab operated by TeachSpin. The lab is making its way from the American Physical Society conference in Denver back to Buffalo, New York, and will stop in Lincoln for a full day of hands-on exploration.

The truck will contain a range of interactive physics demonstrations and instructional lab equipment designed to make foundational scientific principles visible and engaging. Visitors are invited to step inside throughout the day to explore experiments and learn more about how physics concepts are taught in college laboratories.

Colleagues from Southeast Community College and Nebraska Wesleyan University have been invited to attend, and organizers hope members of the broader Lincoln community will take advantage of the unique opportunity.
