A retirement reception for Jan Brown will be held Aug. 18.

The Department of Athletics will host the reception from 2 to 4 p.m. in the East Memorial Stadium Club Level, level 4. There will be a short presentation at 2:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the campus community.

Brown began her 46-year career at UNL in 1970 in the student accounts office. Since 1999 Brown has played a critical role in the Department of Athletics Business Office. Over the years she was promoted from an office assistant to the accounting and audit manager, and ultimately to the director of business operations.
