Writing Center hosting retreat May 24-25

The Writing Center is hiring Writing Consultants for the 2022-2023 academic year. Students from all majors are encouraged to apply and attend an informational session Feb. 15 or Feb. 17.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Writing Center is offering a virtual writing retreat May 24-25 for graduate students and faculty.

Whether writers are working on an article, a book, a dissertation or an independent project, this retreat is an opportunity for faculty and graduate students to jump-start their summer writing practice and to receive the support of a writing community.

In addition to providing dedicated writing time, this virtual retreat will also include wellness activities such as virtual yoga and mindfulness sessions. Consultants from the Writing Center will be available for optional online consultations.

While the retreat will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, attendees are not required to participate in every scheduled activity or writing session. This retreat is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and CAS’s IDEA Committee, and it is offered free of charge. Registration is required.
