The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will hold a daylong workshop exploring the use of Tableau, a data visualization platform, on May 10.

Organized by Information Technology Services, University of Nebraska Tableau Day is designed for faculty and staff. It will include product demonstrations, information on how peer institutions are using Tableau in higher education, and breakout sessions based on individual skill levels.

The workshop is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Howard L. Hawks Hall. Registration is available online.

Lunch will be provided. Members of the university’s dedicated Tableau team will be available to answer questions about using the platform in daily work activities.

Tableau is among the tools being used by the university’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics to expand the use of campus data.

Tableau is a Seattle-based software company that produces interactive data visualization products. University employees can access a free trial of Tableau through May 31.
