Wind Ensemble to perform ‘Intention and Inclusion’

UNL Wind Ensemble (pre-covid performance)
The Wind Ensemble performs in a pre-pandemic concert.

The Glenn Korff School of Music Wind Ensemble will perform “Intention and Inclusion: Growing Ensembleship During the Pandemic,” in a webcast performance at 7:30 p.m. April 17.

The presentation will feature the work of David Maslanka (“Unending Stream of Life”) and Percy Grainger (“Lincolnshire Posy”), plus the unveiling of “The Mystery Piece.”

This will be the first time the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Ensemble Performance Lab takes to the Kimball Recital Hall stage since February 2020. The performance includes a Spark page that offers an inside look at the ensemble’s exploration into character and point of view. The page and supplementary materials will be available on the webcast page.

There will be no in-person audience. Webcast will include a 30-minute interval to air out the hall and bring bonus content to viewers, including composer and performer interviews. Visit the Glenn Korff School of Music website the night of the performance for the webcast link.
