The Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery will host an exhibition of art and animation based on a short story by Willa Cather, “A Gold Slipper,” through Jan. 21, 2022.

Michael Burton, assistant professor, and his Animating History Lab, which includes undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, created costumes and the film for the exhibition with support from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Cather Project.

The exhibition features illustrations of objects from the Historic Textiles and Costume Collection, a velvet dress based on Cather’s writing and Burton’s recent article in The Willa Cather Review.
