Vanderbilt’s McGee to explore diversity in STEM

As part of the University of Nebraska system’s annual Collaboration Initiative Retreat, Ebony McGee will present “Black, Brown, Bruised: How Racialized STEM Education Stifles Innovation” at 10 a.m. Oct. 30 via Zoom.

The talk will be followed by small-group discussions from 11 a.m. to noon. Registration for the presentation closes Oct. 16 and can be completed here.

McGee will focus on practices that faculty can engage to create a more diverse STEM graduate/research student body and workforce. The presentation is open to faculty, staff and students throughout the University of Nebraska system.
