Chancellor Ronnie Green will deliver the 2022 State of Our University Address at 11 a.m. Sept. 28 in the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
The speech — which outlines campus momentum and direction for the new academic year — is part of a celebratory day as the University of Nebraska–Lincoln recognizes staff and faculty through its annual Celebration of Service and an employee cook-out.
The event opens with the 10 a.m. Celebration of Service in the Lied Center. Rick Alloway, professor of broadcasting, will serve as emcee, recognizing employees who have worked at the university in five-year increments up to 55 years. A list of those employees receiving awards is available through the Human Resources website.
Employees can pick up service awards in the Lied Commons starting at 8:30 a.m. The doors to the Lied Center auditorium open at 9:30 a.m. for Celebration of Service seating.
The employee cook-out follows Green’s State of Our University address. Food, provided by Dining Services and the Dairy Store, will be available along R Street, between 12th and 13th streets.
