The Staff Senate Exploratory Committee will hold listening and information sessions with staff in March 2022 to gather feedback on the proposed staff governance body. The group would represent and advocate for University of Nebraska–Lincoln staff.

Sessions will be held in-person or on Zoom at varying times and locations. Staff should attend one session, which are:

  • March 9, noon to 1 p.m., Nebraska Union Auditorium
  • March 10, 7 to 8 a.m., via Zoom
  • March 15, noon to 1 p.m., via Zoom
  • March 22, 6 to 7 p.m., via Zoom
  • March 24, noon to 1 p.m., Nebraska East Union, Prairie Suite

Committee members will present a draft of the bylaws and the proposed method for the formation of a staff senate. A link to a feedback survey will be posted on the exploratory committee website, as well as the slides for the listening sessions for those who cannot attend any of the sessions. In late spring, staff senate nominations will be sought, for senators’ terms slated to begin in fall 2022.

Since its formation in the spring of 2021, the Staff Senate Exploratory Committee has built upon the N2025 aim of creating and allowing access to a university-sponsored staff council for staff to provide input on relevant issues to university leadership.

Submit feedback, ideas and suggestions via the website or by email to staffsenate@unl.edu.
