Speech-language pathology, audiology programs seek re-accreditation

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s speech-language pathology master’s degree program and clinical doctorate in audiology are undergoing a re-accreditation process.

The programs are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The re-accreditation process will include a site visit and a public meeting, which is 4:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Barkley Memorial Center, Room 131.

The meeting will provide a forum for public comments regarding the academic and clinical programs provided by the unit.

A copy of the Standards for Accreditation and the CAA’s Policy on Public Comment may be obtained by calling ASHA’s Action Center at 1-800-498-2071, or accessing the documents online.
