A retirement reception for Lyda Snodgrass is 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20 at St. Mark’s on the Campus, 1309 R St.

Snodgrass has worked at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for 33 years as bursar. She joined the university in 1985 after 10 years in the banking industry.

During her tenure at Nebraska, Snodgras has led significant changes within the Bursar’s Office. Those projects include the migration from paper-driven payment processes to digital systems; integration of evolving federal and state regulations while also protecting student privacy; and adapting to new technologies to help the university increase efficiencies in financial processing, banking and cash handling systems.

Snodgrass has earned many awards, including the Kudos honor from the University of Nebraska Board of Regents, and the Floyd S. Oldt Award for Exceptional Service and Dedication.

The retirement reception is free and open to the campus community.
