Dan Claes, chair and professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, will host the university’s next SciPop Talk at 7 p.m. March 6 in Love Library South, Room 221.

The free and public lecture, “Comic Book Physics: Marvel, DC and Metallurgy,” will examine the science behind fictional elements Adamantium, Kryptonium, Nth Metal and Vibranium and the existence of super materials.

Nebraska’s SciPop Talks! series facilitates the intersection of science and popular culture. The talks are sponsored by University Libraries and the Department of Chemistry.
