Saxophone Studio to play ‘Music Stolen’

The Saxophone Studio’s opening concert of the season will take place at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Westbrook Recital Hall.

Featuring the UNL Saxophone Choir, under the direction of Paul Haar, associate professor of music, and Daniel Oshiro, a graduate teaching assistant, the ensemble will present “Music Stolen for Saxophone.” This program features works transcribed specifically for the ensemble. The repertoire will feature works by Charles Ives (Variations on “America”), Tomaso Albinoni (Concerto Op. 7, No. 5), J.S. Bach (Toccata and Fugue in D Minor), G.F. Hanel, (Concerto Grosso in C Major), Daniel Baldwin (As the Sun Sets), and Antonio Vivaldi (Concerto in D minor).

Free and open to the public. The performance will also be webcast live.
