Proposal seeks to create bilingual engineers

Bilingual Engineering Program

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is working across all colleges, departments and units to elevate inclusive excellence. That work is being actively honed through the N2025 strategic plan.

The College of Engineering is planning to assist that work through a proposed program focused on heritage Spanish speakers in Nebraska. Ultimately, the project is intended to create a pipeline for bilingual engineers. Watch the video below to learn more.

As the university enters the third year of the strategic plan, campus leaders recently gathered to discuss progress made toward the document’s six aims and related goals. Videos from the discussions are being released through April 25 with a weekly theme tied to each of the N2025 aims. The fifth video published April 18 with a focus on inclusive excellence.
