An aerial view of the Platte River near Chapman, Nebraska, about 90 minutes west of Lincoln. Chapman is currently contending with a severe drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor, a weekly map co-produced by the National Drought Mitigation Center at Nebraska U.
