A local dog owner kisses her beloved canine during a “Smooch Your Pooch” photo op at the 2023 Husker DogFest.

Hosted by the Canine Cognition and Human Interaction Lab, the Oct. 7 event also featured a talent show, tests of canine intelligence and impulsiveness, plus demonstrations from disc dogs and a police K9 unit.
