Nominations sought for women of character, courage and commitment

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will hold its annual Women's Week celebration March 1-7. The week includes an awards banquet on March 7.

Nominations for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Women of Character, Courage and Commitment recognition are being sought.

Nominees will be honored during a Women’s History Month banquet on March 7. All nominations are due Feb. 7.

The banquet is part of Nebraska’s Women’s Week 2019 celebration, March 1-8. The celebration, which is held annually as part of Women’s History Month, is organized by the UNL Women’s Center. The 2019 Women’s Week theme is “Creating Change through Courage and Compassion.”

All member of the campus community can nominate a woman who has made a positive impact through professional, personal, mentoring or peer relationships. Nominations can be made online.
