Nominations for LGBTQA+ recognition award due March 17
The Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community annually honors a faculty or staff member and a student who creates an inclusive, respectful and safe climate for members of the LGBTQA+ community at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Nomination packets for this year’s award can be submitted here through March 17.
Nominees should demonstrate a sustained and tangible impact on the campus community through advocacy, promoting professional advancement and support of services, a commitment to increasing awareness, and designing activities and programs that convey an active commitment to diversity and inclusion and mutual respect for, and among, LGBTQA+ students, faculty and staff.
The award recipient will be honored at the Lavender Graduation & Chancellor’s Award Reception on April 20.
