Nomination deadline extended for Nebraska DEI Impact Awards

The nomination deadline for the second annual Nebraska DEI Impact Awards has been extended to March 11.

Presented by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the awards recognize individuals and groups actively working to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in transformative and sustainable ways on campus. Nominations are open to any student, faculty/instructor, staff or group demonstrating a significant contribution toward creating a diverse and inclusive campus community through the implementation of policies, research, procedures, initiatives or programs that reflect the university’s core values and beliefs.

The four award categories are:

  • Faculty — Diversity Leadership Faculty Award

  • Staff — Diversity Leadership Staff Award

  • Student (undergraduate and graduate/professional) — Promising Leader Award

  • Group — Collective Impact Award

To be considered, nominees must have demonstrated a significant contribution toward creating a diverse and inclusive campus community through the implementation of policies, research, procedures, initiatives and/or programs reflective of the institutions core values and beliefs.
