“Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” winner of 10 Tony Awards, is coming to the Lied Center for Performing Arts for a two-week run, Feb. 4 to 16, 2025.

The first North American tour of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” is coming to the Lied Center for Performing Arts for a two-week run, Feb. 4 to 16, 2025.

The Broadway sensation, based on Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary 2001 film, won 10 Tony Awards, including best musical, in 2021.

“We could not be more excited to bring the ‘spectacular, spectacular’ ‘Moulin Rouge’ to Lincoln,” said Bill Stephan, the Lied’s executive director. “Following the historic successes of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ in 2018 and ‘Hamilton’ in 2023, this marks only the third time in the history of the Lied Center that a Broadway show will run for two full weeks of performances. This show continues to be a smash hit on Broadway, and we have no doubt that it will thrill Nebraska audiences. Whether you loved the movie, you love the music or you love extravagant, opulent, high-energy, over-the-top shows, you must see ‘Moulin Rouge.’”

There are three ways to get tickets:

  • Tickets are available immediately as part of a “Create Your Own Season” package. To subscribe, patrons are invited to choose any five-plus events from the 2024-25 season to save 20% off the full order.
  • Starting at 11 a.m. June 11, “Moulin Rouge” tickets are available as part of a new four-show Broadway package that also includes “Back to the Future the Musical,” “Beetlejuice” and “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.” This option allows patrons to lock in the same seats to all four shows on Tuesday, Wednesday or Sunday evenings.
  • Single-show ticket information will be available later this summer.

“Moulin Rouge! The Musical” opened to critical acclaim at New York City’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre in summer 2019 and reopened in September 2021, following the Broadway shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
