Chancellor Ronnie Green welcomes graduates and guests to the first of two undergraduate commencement ceremonies on May 8 in Memorial Stadium.

In a weekend that celebrated a first commencement in Memorial Stadium, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln conferred a record 3,594 degrees to 3,512 graduates. The 2021 grads — who collected diplomas at ceremonies on May 7-8 — hail from 58 countries, 43 states and the District of Columbia, and more than 250 Nebraska communities.

The spring 2021 exercises marked the first time since December 2019 — before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic — that the university held full-fledged commencement ceremonies in person.
