The Glenn Miller Orchestra has been added to the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ schedule at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30. The concert replaces the In the Mood show scheduled for Oct. 6.

Tickets for In the Mood will be honored for the Glenn Miller Orchestra performance.

Miller was one of the most successful bandleaders in the swing era of the 1930s and ’40s. A string of hit records, constant radio broadcasts and numerous shows at theaters, hotels and dance pavilions built and sustained the orchestra’s popularity.

Today, the 18-member ensemble continues to play many of the original Miller arrangements. The band also plays more modern selections arranged and performed in the Miller style and sound. The orchestra is one of the most-sought-after big bands in the world.

Questions about ticket orders should be directed to the Lied ticket office at 402-472-4747.

Tickets to the Glenn Miller Orchestra start at $29 for adults and $14.50 for youths. To purchase tickets, click here, call the number above or visit the ticket office at 301 N. 12th St.
