Lend a Hand is an opportunity for first-year students to participate in an afternoon of hands-on service throughout the Lincoln community.

Lend a Hand applications are due at 4 p.m. Sept. 11.

Participants will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Nebraska Union Ballroom.

Service projects will include outdoor community beautification, working with after-school Community Learning Centers and serving the needs of various local nonprofits.

Students can register online or in the Center for Civic Engagement.

Participants can register as an individual or with a group.
