The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor is accepting applications from full-time faculty members for its Faculty Fellows for Student Success program for the 2021-22 academic year. Fellows programs are designed to help faculty gain a better understanding of leadership and university administration while strengthening expertise on leading change in specific areas.
Up to 12 faculty members from across the university will be selected to participate in the program. Topics will include strategies for retention, experiential learning, academic advocacy, case management, and addressing equity gaps in degree completion. The fellows will learn about current and future student success initiatives, both on campus and nationally, by:
discussing literature and research on student success and leading change in higher education;
learning about data definitions (e.g., IPEDs) and tools (e.g., Tableau) for identifying and analyzing student success trends;
participating in meetings with directors of academic engagement programs; and
networking with other faculty and staff involved in student-success initiatives.
Fellows will also have the opportunity to pursue a supplemental project focused on improving student success on campus.
Faculty who complete the year-long program (including required attendance at the meetings listed below) will receive a $1,500 stipend and join the ongoing cohort community of faculty fellows. Faculty who develop and implement optional student success projects may apply for additional support as needed.

Mandatory meetings for Faculty Fellows for Student Success are from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, Jan. 13, Feb. 17, March 10, April 14; and a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10.
