The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking faculty applicants for the Big Ten Academic Alliance’s Academic Leadership Program.

In 2022-23, up to six fellows will attend a combination of virtual and in-person events, with Nebraska hosting dates on campus in October. Fellows will also participate in conversations on campus throughout the academic year with members of the Nebraska leadership team. Applicants must be available for all scheduled programming.

The program is designed to further develop the academic leadership abilities of participants at all levels of research universities. It is intended to help those considering leadership positions understand the university as a dynamic and inclusive institution; build awareness of the diverse, complex and changing landscape of higher education; and explore their role in that landscape.

Interested applicants should send a single PDF file that includes a cover sheet, a letter of interest and a current curriculum vitae to facultyaffairs@unl.edu by April 18. They should also request that their department chair or dean submit a brief letter of support for their application to facultyaffairs@unl.edu by that same date.

The cover sheet must include the applicant’s name and email address; department; the name and email address of the applicant’s department chair; and a statement committing to attendance of all program events.
