With more snowy days ahead this winter, Huskers and members of the Lincoln community can still get outside and be active through the Outdoor Adventures Center’s winter gear rentals.

The center offers rentals on skis, ski poles and boots. Renting all three is $10 a day for Campus Rec members and $15 for the general public.

Wilderness Park and Pioneer’s Park are two popular locations for cross-country skiing in Lincoln.

Valentine’s Day at Morrill Hall

Searching for a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your significant other? Morrill Hall will host a Valentine Wine and Dine event for adults 21 and older from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Guests can enjoy a dinner buffet, drinks and a planetarium show, as well as explore the museum throughout the night.

The event will also feature a one-night only display from Morrill Hall’s anthropology collection that showcases love across cultures.

Spring career fairs

Internships. Full-time jobs. Networking. No matter what your professional needs are, Nebraska’s spring career fairs are a great way to connect with potential employers and learn more about open positions in your field.

The spring fairs, open to all students, are Feb. 11 and 12 in the Nebraska Union. The Feb. 11 session will have opportunities in business, social and human services, agricultural sciences and natural resources; while Feb. 12 is dedicated toward STEM opportunities.
