Digital study groups create connections, provide academic support

Craig Chandler | University Communication
Registration for digital study groups runs through Feb. 17.

Residence Life is providing student residents the opportunity to connect and find academic support in a virtual space.

Through Feb. 28, students living on campus can sign up for a digital study group by taking a short interest quiz in Canvas. After sign-up closes, Residence Life staff will match students who are looking for help with the same classes. Invitations to join a study group will be sent in Canvas after deadlines close.

“We recognize the challenges that students are facing when trying to meet one another and hope that by providing this platform for them to connect, students are able to be more successful in their academics on campus,” said Dustin Rollins, Residence Life director.

The study group effort aligns with Residence Life’s priority of supporting students by helping them identify educational resources and discover purpose in their educational pursuit at Nebraska.
