CVS offering free heart health screenings

Heart Health Month

As part of CVS Health’s “Go Red for Women” health initiative, the pharmacy chain will offer no-cost heart health screenings at locations every Thursday in February on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone 18 years old and over.

The screening will consist of five personal health numbers that can help determine a member’s risk for heart disease:

  • Total cholesterol

  • HDL (good) cholesterol

  • Blood pressure

  • Blood sugar

  • Body mass index

University of Nebraska-Lincoln students, faculty and staff can find a voucher and more information, including the closest Minute Location, online.

Pharmacy coverage for university employees is provided by CVS Health.

Members are encouraged to download the voucher before their visit but will not be turned away at the clinic if they do not have it with them. The offer is available to all people, including men, across the country, regardless of insurance. The voucher is not specific to one member. It can be downloaded and distributed.
