Culinary contest challenges food scientists’ prowess

Students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Department of Food Science and Technology traded test tubes and Petri dishes for spatulas and baking pans for the Battle of the Food Scientists contest.
The cooking challenge, held Feb. 28 at the Food Innovation Center on Nebraska Innovation Campus, was created by students to test their cooking, teamwork and problem solving skills. Click the image below to see a photo story from the event.
