Nebraska students will celebrate Holi, a spring festival from India, on April 8 at the Selleck Hall volleyball courts.

The Indian festival of spring and colors is set to be celebrated on campus 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 8 at the Selleck Hall sand volleyball courts.

Students are invited to come celebrate the Indian festival of spring and colors. Colored powder will be available for free for all participants with an NCard. The event will include information about the traditions of the Holi festival and free food from India.

The highlight of the event will be three synchronized color throws at 11:25 am, 11:40 am, and 12:15 pm.

The planning committee envisions Holi, the Indian spring festival of colors will allow them the opportunity of celebrating diversity through the lens of the Indian culture.

Participants are encouraged to wear sunglasses and clothes that they would not mind getting stained. The colors are made from food-grade, biodegradable products with all FDA approved dyes, and is safe and easy to clean up.

A rain date is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15 at the same location.
