Chancellor Ronnie Green has been appointed to represent the Big Ten Conference on the NCAA’s Division I Presidential Forum.

The forum assists the NCAA Division I Board of Directors in its strategic mission to govern Division I athletics. It also works to uphold core values of leadership of intercollegiate athletics at the campus, conference and national level. Presidents and chancellors are elected from each of the 32 Division I conferences. Meetings are held four times each year.

“This is an important time in the history of intercollegiate athletics as we face many challenges, from offering safe competition during a global pandemic to emerging issues with name, image and likeness,” Green said. “I’m proud to represent Nebraska and the Big Ten Conference on this national forum and look forward to working with fellow conference leaders as we build upon NCAA successes.”

Green’s three-year appointment to the NCAA Division I Presidential Forum began Aug. 31.

“Chancellor Green’s focused leadership and enthusiasm for collegiate athletics will be an perfect addition to the presidential forum,” Nebraska Director of Athletics Bill Moos said. “This is a well-earned position and he will be an outstanding representative for both Nebraska and the Big Ten Conference.”
