BugFest, the annual open house for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Entomology, is 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 in Entomology Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will feature the Henry Doorly Zoo tiger beetle rearing program, scientific illustration, the secret life of flies, life in a dung pat, and insects in art.

Guests will be able to view the insects of Nebraska, bees in their hives, the bed bug roadshow, insect open heart surgery, and take photos riding a Bronco Bug. The event is an opportunity to learn from entomology students, faculty and staff.
