Nebraska's John Breslow Ice Hockey Center is a 53,393 square foot ice arena located at 433 V St., immediately southwest of Hawks Field at Haymarket Park.

The John Breslow Ice Hockey Center will continue to offer public skate opportunities — including how-to courses — in December.

Public skate events on the center’s schedule are:

  • 12:45 to 2:45 p.m. — Dec. 3, 10; and
  • 3 to 4:45 p.m. — Dec. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9.

Learn to skate classes are 6 p.m. Dec. 1, 8; and 12:15 p.m. Dec. 4. Classes are open to youths (age 3 and up) and to adults and last for 30 minutes with 15 additional minutes for practice. Skate rental is included. For more information, including costs, visit the center website.

Cosmic Skate events are 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10. The events feature special lighting.

Admission to both public and Cosmic skate events is $7. Skate rental is $3.

Due to demand, schedules at the Breslow Ice Hockey Center are subject to change. For more information, visit the center’s website or call 402-472-2785.
