Students study outside UNL's Adele Coryell Hall Learning Commons during the spring 2016 semester. The University Libraries will hold a Big Red Ruckus at the learning commons on Aug. 28.

New students at the University of Nebraska can learn about the University Libraries while making some noise at Big Red Ruckus, 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Adele Coryell Hall Learning Commons in Love Library.

Big Red Ruckus combines learning about the library and study skill practices students need to know with fun activities and competitive games. Students will be able to challenge their friends to a game of Jumbo Jenga or Four Square, solve puzzles that inform them of library services and assemble magnetic poetry into proper email etiquette. Faculty will be on hand to meet and chat with students in a “Meet and Greet” tent.

This event, which is free and open to UNL students, is sponsored by University Libraries and First Year Experience and Transition Programs.
