Applications sought for new faculty director for undergraduate data strategy

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is adding a new member to the Executive Vice Chancellor Office’s Student Success Team to focus on data related to undergraduate retention, persistence, time to degree and degree completion.

The faculty director for undergraduate data strategy will work closely with academic leaders to prioritize these issues and recommend solutions. This position will also identify trends in course demands to optimize scheduling and facilitate inclusive access efforts through the use of open educational resources.

Eligible candidates must hold the rank of associate professor or above (tenure-track or professor of practice). The initial appointment will be between 18 to 24 months and will include a partial FTE buy-out.

Successful candidates must possess the ability to analyze complex data and work with academic leaders to identify barriers to student retention, including existing policies and practices. Candidates must also be able to collaborate, propose and develop solutions to these issues.
