67 cases of COVID-19 reported on campus from Oct. 1-7

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln reported 67 positive cases of COVID-19 during the most current seven-day period (Oct. 1-7).

During that same span, 1,001 tests were conducted on students, faculty and staff. Tests are conducted (by appointment only) on campus at the TestNebraska facility in the 17th and R Streets parking garage and the University Health Center, random mitigation testing station in the East Stadium loop, as well as at off-campus medical facilities. The positivity rate during the week was 7 percent.

Since university-specific testing began on Aug. 12, 851 total cases have been recorded out of 7,122 tests, for a positivity rate of 12 percent.

Data is gathered from the university’s COVID-19 dashboard, which is tracking case and test totals daily. All COVID-19 testing information is provided to the university from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.
